Revision 2 — coordinates follow floor-plan revision 6: stage 3.40 m deep, screen plane 3.50 m, projector at 7.50 m.

Read as a reflected ceiling plan: you are looking up, but left and right match the floor plan. North is at the top, as on the floor plan.

A proposal, not a specification. Everything on this sheet is an idea put forward for the project architect to work from. Every dimension, every position and every detail may be changed. What must survive is the intent behind it — and where a figure is fixed by law or by the turning circle of a vehicle, the sheet says so.

1 · Ceiling levels

allow at least + 4.55 m so the pocket, the projector bracket and the duct runs fit above the finished ceiling
Matt ceiling, matt walls. This ceiling sits above a projection screen and a backlit image. Any gloss finish will bounce the projector light back onto the screen and flatten the picture. Paint the ceiling and the north wall in a matt, mid-to-dark neutral within 2 m of the screen if the image looks washed out on site.

2 · Projection — the geometry the ceiling has to hold

Keep the whole cone free of ceiling fittings. Nothing may hang into it: no pendant, no sprinkler drop, no speaker, no diffuser, no smoke detector.
